How late can I order for same-day delivery in Winnipeg?

Order by 3 PM and it's delivered today, seven days a week, Sunday included. Most Winnipeg florists close on Sunday; we're open 10 to 6. Funeral orders work a little differently: we build them the morning of the service so they arrive fresh, so call us the day before if you can, and that morning if you can't.

Is delivery really free, and how far does that go?

Free within 25 km of our shop at Osborne and Morley, which covers all of Winnipeg, from Charleswood to Sage Creek and the North End to St. Norbert. From 25 to 30 km it's $25. Beyond that we still deliver, to places like Lorette, Ste. Anne and Winnipeg Beach, and the fee is calculated at checkout from the address.

Are you open on Sunday?

Yes. Saturday and Sunday we're open 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Wednesday 9 to 5, and Thursday and Friday 9 to 7. Same-day delivery runs every one of those days with the same 3 PM cutoff, and a designer is in the shop every hour we're open.

Who actually makes my arrangement?

A designer, every time, and one is in the shop whenever the doors are open. Our team is eight to ten people, and our senior designers have years in the trade and back up the newer ones. Nobody here does only one job, so the person who takes your call may be the one who builds your order.

Can I get peonies in December?

Sometimes, and we'll tell you the truth about it. Out-of-season flowers can be special-ordered from our suppliers, but the price is high and the quality is rarely what you'd get in June. We'll quote it if you want it, and we'll also suggest the closest in-season stem that lasts longer and costs less.

Do you use your own drivers?

Both. We have our own drivers and we work with delivery partners on busy days. Free local orders go out on a delivery route, so if yours needs to land sooner rather than later, call us after you order and we'll get on the phone with whoever is driving it.

What if a flower in the photo isn't available?

We substitute with stems of the same or greater value and keep the colour and feel of what you chose, and the vase may be different. If a specific flower matters to you, say so in the order notes or call us before your order is made.

Do you take back vases?

Yes. Bring us vases you don't want and we'll clean them up and reuse them, and we'll send you home with flowers for the trouble: one vase gets you a flower, a big bag gets you a bouquet. Those vases become our Thrifted & Blooming arrangements, built in a second-hand vase instead of a new one.

We're the flower shop on the corner of Osborne and Morley in South Osborne, across from the 7-Eleven, in the building with flowers painted on the garage and down the side wall. We've been on this corner since 1972, on a strip where the old Park Theatre now books concerts and the bowling alley serves dinner. Most of our team lives in the neighbourhood, and so does Oriana. Come in on a weekday and you'll meet Fred, Phoebe and Marvin the cat before you meet a designer.
